We’re super excited to present you our first Strictly Salsa event of 2024 with an incredible International Salsa couple from Greece!

Dimitris Psychogyios & Yolena Kapoli, two of the best Salsa dancers in Greece and Europe, are coming to Ireland for the first time for a 3HR of Salsa Training, a show and party at night🔥💃

This is a great opportunity to learn from top teachers certified by Fernando Sosa, and to bring your dancing skills and knowledge to the next level by going deep into the roots of Afro-Mambo and On2 rhythms. 

For the ones who would like to attend but don’t dance On2 yet please get in touch as we will organise some dedicated workshops at the weekends to understand the transition from On1 to On2.

– About Dimitris –

He has been dancing for the last 19 years and has performed and taught at some of the most prestigious festivals & events all over the world and he’s also won an incredible amount of trophies in some of the biggest salsa competitions in the world.

He has been performing with Yolena at his group “Dimitris y su Secta” since 2018 and later on as a couple.

Also he has been collaborating since 2023 and dancing with Bersy Cortez at her group “African Mambo” till now.

Furthermore he is certified instructor of “Salsanama” by Fernando Sosa.

He is well known for his strong fundamentals, inventive shows and his teaching methods. For the last 15 years, he has run La Secta Dance Company, the pioneers of NY style Salsa in Athens, Greece.

– About Yolena –

She has been dancing for the last 22 years. She began studying ballet ,contemporary, modern dance and jazz.

Since 2013 has been dancing Salsa and Bachata. Soon she managed to perform at some of the most prestigious festivals & events all over the world and also winning several competitions as Solo Lady shows.

For the last 6 years she has been part of La Secta Dance Company, the pioneers of NY style Salsa in Athens, Greece. She started performing immediately with Dimitris y su Secta while the last 4 years she is performing, teaching and travelling with Dimitris Psychogyios as a dancing couple.

WORKSHOPS:

• 90 minutes Footwork & Body movement for man and lady styling

• 90 minutes of Partnerwork

All workshops will be taught On2 and will be suitable for both leaders and followers.

The level will be improvers/intermediate and it will be focused on techniques on how to improve as a solo dancer and in partnerwork.
